Job Description

Nyaradzo Group is seeking a talented and dedicated Audio Production Specialist to join our dynamic team in Gokwe, Midlands Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, record, edit, mix, and master audio content for various Nyaradzo Group projects, including advertisements, corporate videos, podcasts, and event coverage.
  • Operate and maintain professional audio recording equipment, microphones, mixers, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and events teams to understand project requirements and deliver audio that aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Develop sound design concepts, including selecting appropriate music, sound effects, and voice-overs to enhance narrative and emotional impact.
  • Ensure all audio outputs adhere to Nyaradzo Group's brand guidelines, quality standards, and legal requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to audio equipment and software.
  • Manage audio archives, ensuring proper categorization and accessibility of all produced content.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve audio production processes and quality.
  • Provide technical support during live events or recordings as required.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of audio recording techniques, mixing, and mastering principles.
  • Experience with various types of microphones, audio interfaces, and other recording equipment.
  • Excellent ear for sound quality, detail, and creative sound design.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Knowledge of audio file formats and best practices for digital audio distribution.
  • Problem-solving skills for technical troubleshooting.
  • A portfolio or reel demonstrating audio production capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Audio Production, Media Studies, Broadcast Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a corporate, media, or broadcasting environment.
  • Familiarity with video production workflows and integration of audio with video.
  • Ability to speak local languages common in the Midlands Province (e.g., Shona, Ndebele).
  • Experience with live sound reinforcement.
