Job Description

Wolrige Mahon LLP is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Part-Time Audit Review Aide to join our growing team in Fairview, Vancouver. This role is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, looking to gain valuable experience within a professional accounting environment. As an Audit Review Aide, you will provide crucial administrative and technical support to our audit engagement teams, playing an integral part in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our audit processes. Your primary focus will involve assisting with the review, organization, and verification of client financial documentation, helping to prepare working papers, and supporting the overall audit workflow. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about audit procedures, develop administrative skills, and contribute meaningfully to the success of our client engagements. We are looking for someone who is organized, proficient with office software, and eager to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This part-time role requires approximately 20-25 hours per week, with some flexibility around scheduling, making it perfect for students or individuals seeking a flexible work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist audit teams with the organization and filing of client documentation, both physical and electronic.
  • Perform initial reviews of financial statements and supporting documents for completeness and adherence to basic formatting guidelines.
  • Verify data accuracy by cross-referencing information across various reports and systems.
  • Prepare and compile audit working papers, schedules, and reports under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Scan, index, and upload documents to internal systems, ensuring proper categorization and accessibility.
  • Communicate effectively with audit team members to clarify information and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as data entry, report generation, and correspondence preparation.
  • Assist with research as needed, retrieving information from financial databases or public records.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and company information.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
