Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Auditor Finance Control to join our dynamic team at Kosabei Tea Factory Co. Ltd. in Nandi County. This critical role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance within our expansive tea processing operations. The Auditor Finance Control will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial audits, reviewing internal controls, and ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and international accounting standards. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding company assets, identifying potential risks, and recommending robust solutions to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute risk-based financial and operational audits across all factory departments and processes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for management.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress of corrective actions.
  • Conduct forensic audits as necessary to investigate anomalies or suspected fraudulent activities.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of internal audit methodologies and tools.
  • Provide guidance and training on internal control procedures to staff across various departments.
  • Participate in risk assessment exercises and contribute to the company's enterprise risk management framework.
  • Liaise with external auditors during statutory audits and facilitate the provision of required information.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in internal audit or financial control roles, preferably in a manufacturing or agricultural setting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High level of integrity, objectivity, and professional skepticism.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., ICPAK, IIA).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly those used in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with agricultural sector operations and related financial challenges.
