Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated automated systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. You’ll work with a diverse array of equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), robotic systems, servo drives, and industrial controls.

You will be responsible for interpreting technical schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams, and for executing repairs and modifications in compliance with safety standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and robotics.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of automated systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in automated machinery.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and installations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on the design, testing, and implementation of new automation projects and system upgrades.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately and thoroughly.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and training to production operators on the use and basic troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Manage spare parts inventory for automation components and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Automation).
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, HMI operation, and SCADA systems.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Competency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
- Experience with robotic systems and servo drives.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
