As an Automation Tester, you will design, develop, and implement automated tests, integrating them seamlessly into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding our existing test suites, optimizing test execution, and enhancing our overall testing strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements, define test cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and existing functionalities. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and identify defects, documenting them thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, providing feedback on testability and potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.
  • Continuously research and implement new testing tools, techniques, and strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices for automation testing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software quality assurance processes.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
  • Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, TestComplete).
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
