Are you a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic seeking a dynamic opportunity in Chipinge, Manicaland Province? As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and safety of our customers’ vehicles, from routine maintenance to complex diagnostic repairs. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, engine tune-ups, and more extensive engine and transmission work. We expect you to maintain a clean and organized workspace, accurately document all services performed, and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle conditions and recommended repairs.
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, and braking systems for both petrol and diesel vehicles. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, suspension, etc.) using specialized equipment.
- Execute routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Conduct major and minor repairs on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and computer components.
- Accurately document all repair work performed, parts used, and hours spent on each job.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended solutions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
