Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Execute timely and accurate repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and multipoint inspections.
- Inspect vehicles for potential mechanical problems and safety issues, documenting findings and recommending necessary repairs.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and inspection findings accurately and thoroughly in the service management system.
- Adhere strictly to manufacturer service procedures, safety protocols, and company policies and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with service advisors and parts departments to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper care for tools and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay abreast of automotive technological advancements and new vehicle models.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues and repair solutions to service advisors for effective communication with customers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or Technician
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and special service tools
- Ability to perform a wide range of mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid Mauritian driver's license
