Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused, and technically astute Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team at Toyota Tacloban. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued customers, playing a crucial role in ensuring their complete satisfaction with our vehicle maintenance and repair services. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, initiating a positive service experience.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service requests.
- Perform thorough vehicle walk-arounds to identify additional service needs or visible damage.
- Prepare accurate and transparent service estimates, clearly explaining all recommended repairs and services to customers.
- Communicate regularly and proactively with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs and any unexpected changes.
- Coordinate seamlessly with service technicians to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality completion of all work.
- Process repair orders, invoices, and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Advise customers on vehicle maintenance schedules, preventative care, and recommended services to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally, empathetically, and efficiently, striving for first-contact resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Toyota products, services, warranty information, and service bulletins.
- Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction and actively work towards achieving departmental service targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (at least 2 years) as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, repair procedures, and maintenance schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic software and service management systems (e.g., DMS).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid professional driver's license (restriction codes 1, 2) and ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience specifically with Toyota vehicles or at a Toyota dealership.
- Certifications in automotive servicing (e.g., NC II Automotive Servicing from TESDA).
- Familiarity with specific dealership management systems (DMS) used in Toyota dealerships.
- Ability to speak local dialects (e.g., Waray-Waray) is a significant advantage for customer interaction.
