Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and repair times.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status, repair needs, and estimated completion times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations in the workshop.
- Stay updated on automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices through continuous learning.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workspace and equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
