Rwanda Ultimate Motors is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Automotive Technician to join our growing service team in Kayonza, Eastern Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, identify malfunctions using specialized testing equipment, and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, brake system inspections, and filter replacements.
  • Conduct major and minor repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking systems, and electrical components.
  • Accurately interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Install, repair, or replace automotive electrical and electronic accessories and components.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document all services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any additional recommendations, clearly and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status, repair progress, and any unforeseen issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and timely service delivery.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic capabilities for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic software and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of automotive safety protocols.
  • Valid Rwandan driving license (Category B minimum).
  • Good communication skills in English and/or Kinyarwanda.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or advanced certification in Automotive Technology.
  • Experience with specific vehicle brands distributed by Rwanda Ultimate Motors (e.g., Isuzu, Hyundai, Mahindra).
  • ASE certification or equivalent international accreditation.
  • Experience working in a dealership service center.
  • Familiarity with hybrid or electric vehicle systems.
  • Basic computer literacy for job management systems.
