Key Responsibilities
- Safely guide aircraft to and from parking stands using standard marshalling signals.
- Operate various ground support equipment (e.g., pushback tugs, baggage loaders, belt loaders, ground power units) efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail with care and according to established procedures.
- Perform aircraft pushback and towing operations.
- Conduct visual checks of aircraft and surroundings for potential hazards.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of baggage to passengers.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, air traffic control, and other ground personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and aviation security protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, incidents, or hazards promptly.
- Participate in de-icing/anti-icing procedures when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the ramp and in equipment storage areas.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual transmission preferred).
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Strong understanding and commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an airport or logistics environment.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or specialized vehicles.
- First Aid certification.
- Forklift license.
- Knowledge of IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM) procedures.
