Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources using CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across AWS environments (IAM, security groups, WAF, etc.).
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment and operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical incidents.
- Stay current with new AWS services, features, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Professional.
- Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools beyond CloudWatch (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.
