Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare various types of bread dough according to Marigat Bakery's established recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including mixers, proofers, and ovens, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
  • Monitor baking temperatures and times to ensure breads are baked to perfection, achieving desired crust, crumb, and color.
  • Manage ingredient inventory, place orders, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP principles) to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Decorate and finish breads as required, ensuring attractive presentation for display.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to coordinate daily production schedules.
  • Continuously monitor product quality, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the development of new bread recipes and innovative baking techniques.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment thoroughly after each shift.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a baker, specifically in bread production.
  • In-depth knowledge of bread-making techniques, ingredients, and baking processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of ingredients (up to 25kg).
