Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Develop and experiment with new recipes and techniques to innovate and expand our product range.
  • Decorate pastries and desserts with precision and artistic flair, ensuring visually appealing presentations.
  • Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.
  • Operate and maintain all baking equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP) in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and special event requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation across all baked goods.
  • Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product consistency to achieve optimal results.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen or bakery.
  • Expertise in various baking techniques, including pastry, bread, cake, and dessert production.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient properties and their impact on final products.
  • Exceptional decorating skills with an artistic eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene (HACCP).
