Key Responsibilities
- Assist bakers and pastry chefs with the precise preparation of ingredients, including accurate measuring, weighing, and mixing according to established recipes and production schedules.
- Support the baking process by carefully loading and unloading ovens, monitoring baking times and temperatures, and ensuring consistent product quality and appearance.
- Help with the intricate finishing touches on a variety of baked goods, such as decorating cakes, glazing pastries, dusting confections, and applying various toppings.
- Package finished products neatly and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling, sealing, and attractive presentation for retail.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and all production areas, including diligent washing of utensils, equipment, work surfaces, and floors.
- Adhere strictly to all company food safety protocols, hygiene regulations, and health standards to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately store deliveries of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and efficient inventory management.
- Safely operate basic bakery equipment under supervision, following all safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with all team members to ensure a smooth, efficient, and harmonious production flow.
