Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cheque cashing, and foreign currency exchanges.
  • Maintain strict adherence to banking regulations, security procedures, and internal policies to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
  • Identify customer needs and effectively cross-sell appropriate bank products and services, making referrals to specialist staff when necessary.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex matters to supervisors as needed.
  • Balance cash drawer daily, ensuring accuracy and accountability for all transactions.
  • Assist customers with the use of digital banking channels and educate them on various self-service options.
  • Handle sensitive customer information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
  • Contribute to a positive branch environment by working collaboratively with colleagues and actively participating in team meetings and training sessions.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of one year experience in a customer service or cash handling role.
  • Proven ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A strong work ethic, integrity, and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of NCB products and services.
  • Experience with CRM software and banking systems.
