Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and cheque cashing.
  • Balance cash drawer daily, ensuring accuracy and accountability for all transactions.
  • Identify customer financial needs and introduce appropriate Standard Bank products and services, engaging in cross-selling and up-selling as opportunities arise.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex matters to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Educate customers on various banking channels, including ATM, online banking, and mobile app functionality.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all bank policies, procedures, security protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FICA, AML).
  • Assist customers with account opening, updates, and maintenance requests.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive branch environment, ensuring all customers receive exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with branch colleagues to achieve team goals and enhance the overall customer experience.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cash handling and transactional processing.

  • Fluency in additional local indigenous languages relevant to the Limpopo region (e.g., Sepedi, Tsonga) in addition to English.
