Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile various banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments, accurately and efficiently.
- Verify transaction details and customer information to prevent errors and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide operational support to front-line staff, assisting with complex customer inquiries, account maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Manage and maintain accurate customer records, files, and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
- Participate in end-of-day processes, including cash balancing, transaction reconciliation, and ledger adjustments.
- Adhere strictly to bank policies, procedures, and security protocols to mitigate operational risks and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Identify and escalate potential operational issues or discrepancies to senior management for timely resolution.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a banking or financial services environment, preferably in an operations support role.
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and transaction processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Swahili.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
