As a Banquet Server, you are more than just a server; you are a key architect of memorable moments. Your day will be dynamic and engaging, starting with meticulously setting up banquet rooms according to precise event specifications, which includes arranging tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor. You’ll be instrumental in preparing the service area, ensuring all necessary utensils, plates, and glasses are polished and ready for use.
During events, your primary focus will be on delivering prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests. This involves carefully carrying trays of dishes, anticipating guest needs, and responding to requests with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. You’ll work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure a seamless flow of service, from appetizer to dessert. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment throughout the event is also crucial, as is adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Beyond serving, you will contribute to the overall ambiance and success of each event. This might include assisting guests with inquiries, maintaining beverage stations, or clearing tables between courses. When the event concludes, you will play a vital role in the breakdown process, efficiently clearing tables, stacking chairs, removing linens, and assisting with the general cleanup of the venue, readying it for the next grand occasion.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, and place settings, according to event specifications.
- Prepare and stock service stations with necessary supplies, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally to guests during events.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs and requests with a positive attitude.
- Clear tables, refresh drinks, and assist with general guest satisfaction throughout events.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, banquet captains, and other team members.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Efficiently break down event spaces, including clearing tables, cleaning up, and returning equipment.
- Handle delicate china, glassware, and serving equipment with care.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
