Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and energetic Banquet Setup Attendant to join our dedicated events team in Campbell River, British Columbia. This pivotal role involves preparing event spaces to perfection, ensuring every detail aligns with client specifications and our high standards for service and aesthetics. As a Banquet Setup Attendant, you will be instrumental in transforming ordinary rooms into extraordinary venues for a diverse range of events, from elegant weddings and corporate conferences to vibrant social gatherings.

You will work closely with our event managers and catering staff, executing precise setup plans, arranging tables, chairs, linens, and audio-visual equipment, and ensuring all elements are in place before guests arrive. Key Responsibilities
- Execute banquet event orders (BEOs) by setting up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and audio-visual equipment according to specifications.
- Place linens, silverware, glassware, and china accurately and aesthetically for each event.
- Ensure all banquet rooms and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and properly stored.
- Transport equipment and supplies safely and efficiently between storage areas and event spaces.
- Break down event setups efficiently and carefully, preparing the space for subsequent events or general use.
- Assist with inventory management of banquet supplies and equipment, reporting any damage or shortages.
- Work collaboratively with the catering, culinary, and event management teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and company policies.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries during event setup and breakdown.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a banquet, hospitality, or event setup role.
- Knowledge of basic audio-visual equipment setup.
- Valid Food Safe certification.
- First Aid certification.
