Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and beers, according to recipes and service standards.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, engaging, and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, conduct stock counts, and place orders for beverages and bar supplies as needed.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions with integrity.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and all relevant licensing laws.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider service team to ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.
- Assist in developing new drink recipes and promotions to enhance the Night Lounge's offerings.
- Ensure all bar equipment is clean and in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or Bartender, preferably in a hotel or busy nightlife establishment.
- Exceptional mixology skills with a strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of beverage inventory management and stock control.
- Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service.
- Experience with upselling and promoting specialty beverages.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English (e.g., Swahili).
