Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all daily bar operations, ensuring seamless service, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest satisfaction during all shifts.
- Develop, design, and implement innovative and profitable beverage menus, including seasonal cocktails, an extensive wine list, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, maintaining current market trends.
- Manage comprehensive inventory control, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating all beverage products, while meticulously tracking costs and minimizing waste.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and mentor bar staff, fostering a positive, productive, and respectful team environment focused on professional growth and high performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Oversee accurate cash handling, reconciliation, and efficient operation of point-of-sale (POS) systems, preparing daily sales reports.
- Maintain outstanding customer relations, proactively addressing guest feedback, resolving complaints professionally, and going above and beyond to enhance their experience.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and introduce new products, techniques, and promotions to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and implement ongoing training programs to ensure consistent service standards and product knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and management teams to integrate bar operations seamlessly with the overall venue strategy and enhance the holistic guest experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar supervisory leadership role within a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or bar setting.
- Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, including current trends and classic preparations.
- Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and profit optimization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as per operational needs.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and standard office computer applications.
