Job Description

Mafeteng Hotel & Conference Centre is immediately seeking dedicated Bar Staff to join our dynamic team in Likhoele, Mafeteng. As Bar Staff, you will be the face of our beverage service, responsible for ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and delightful experience. You will not only prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages but also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, manage stock, and handle transactions with efficiency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and making recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, bar tools, and supplies.
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions.
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and ensure responsible service of alcohol, adhering to all legal requirements.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating beverage stock.
- Open and close the bar safely and efficiently, following all procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bartender or Bar Staff in a hotel or restaurant setting (minimum 6 months).
- Knowledge of various spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes.
- Relevant hospitality training or certification.
- Fluency in Sesotho and English.
- First Aid and responsible alcohol service certification.
