You will be responsible for preparing a wide array of coffee and tea beverages, ranging from classic espresso drinks to innovative specialty concoctions, all while adhering to Java House’s exacting standards of quality and presentation. Beyond beverage creation, your role involves maintaining a pristine and organized workspace, operating state-of-the-art espresso machines and grinders, and ensuring the freshness of our high-quality ingredients. A crucial part of your daily routine will be engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, handling cash and card transactions with precision, and always striving to exceed expectations with a warm and welcoming demeanor.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to Java House’s recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other coffee-making equipment.
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and process payments efficiently using POS systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment, including coffee stations, display cases, and seating areas.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and freshness of ingredients, reporting any low stock levels.
- Create beautiful latte art and appealing beverage presentations.
- Educate customers on coffee bean varieties, brewing methods, and menu items.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and exceptional customer flow.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a fast-paced coffee shop or restaurant setting.
- Proficient in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso preparation.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in coffee preparation or barista training.
- Experience with latte art techniques.
