Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately, handling payments efficiently, and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, counter, and seating area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Restock inventory, monitor supplies, and assist with inventory management.
- Educate customers on menu items, coffee bean origins, and preparation methods.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reporting.
- Uphold brand standards and contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and brewing methods.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in food handling or hospitality.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Basic latte art skills.
