Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to Mugg & Bean standards.
- Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and blenders, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately and making recommendations.
- Process customer payments using the POS system and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the coffee bar, equipment, and customer areas.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Monitor and replenish coffee bean and ingredient supplies, communicating stock needs to management.
- Assist with other coffee shop duties as required, including light food preparation and serving.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues and communicating effectively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a coffee shop environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
