As a Barman, you will be the heart of the social experience, responsible for delivering outstanding service and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable visit. Your duties will range from meticulously preparing a wide array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining a clean and organised bar area, to interacting with guests and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers, coupled with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking as necessary and reporting shortages.
- Adhere to all food and beverage safety and sanitation standards.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and waiting staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barman or Bartender.
- Extensive knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and standard bar equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and making change.
- A positive attitude and a team-player mentality.
