Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty cocktails, using precise recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner, anticipating their needs and providing personalized recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions, process payments, and manage a cash float with integrity.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize waste through efficient pouring and stock rotation.
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or resort setting.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic/contemporary cocktail preparation techniques.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cash handling and POS system proficiency.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in mixology or a recognized bartending program.
- Knowledge of Jamaican and Caribbean beverages and culinary traditions.
- Experience with inventory management software.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, French) is a plus.
