We are looking for an individual who embodies creativity, possesses an in-depth knowledge of spirits and cocktails, and is dedicated to delivering impeccable service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. As a Bartender, you will be the heart of our bar operations, responsible for conceptualizing and preparing a diverse range of classic and innovative cocktails, premium beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks. Key Responsibilities
- Craft and serve a wide array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, signature drinks, and custom creations, adhering to Hennessy Park Hotel's standards and recipes.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a memorable experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, bar tools, and ingredients, following all hygiene and safety regulations.
- Process guest orders and payments accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies, spirits, mixers, and garnishes, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
- Assist in the development and innovation of new cocktail recipes and beverage menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and market trends.
- Adhere strictly to all local and hotel policies regarding responsible alcohol service and age verification.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless guest service.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.
- Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of bar equipment and fixtures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or bar environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Strong understanding of bar operations, inventory control, and cost management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated creativity in drink preparation and presentation.
- Proficiency in using POS systems.
- Fluent in English and French (Mauritian Creole is a plus).
