Marriott Mena House, Cairo, is seeking a talented and charismatic Bartender to join our dynamic Restaurant Bar team on a full-time night shift. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits, adhering to Marriott's brand standards and recipes.
- Interact with guests in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, garnishes, and ingredients, throughout the shift.
- Process guest checks and handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies, spirits, and mixers, reporting shortages or ordering needs to management.
- Adhere to all local and hotel liquor laws, health, and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Assist with opening and closing duties of the bar, including set-up, cleaning, and securing the area.
- Collaborate effectively with other restaurant and hotel staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-volume restaurant or hotel bar setting.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktail recipes.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cash handling and POS system proficiency.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods during night shifts.
