Matola Hotel & Conference Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Bartending Trainee to join our vibrant Food & Beverage team in Nkobe, Matola. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior bartenders in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Learn and practice various drink recipes, mixing techniques, and proper pouring methods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
  • Restock bar supplies, ice, garnishes, and other necessary items throughout shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and answering questions about menu items.
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately under supervision.
  • Understand and adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and age verification procedures.
  • Attend all scheduled training sessions and actively participate in learning opportunities.
  • Support the wider Food & Beverage team with ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.

  • Basic knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages.
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese (official language of Mozambique) and basic English.
