Job Description

Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Beauty Spa Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our luxurious spa. As our Spa Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our esteemed guests, setting the tone for their rejuvenating experience. You’ll manage appointments, handle inquiries, process payments, and ensure the spa reception area is always immaculate and inviting. We are looking for someone with a bright smile, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to assist our guests with warmth and efficiency. While prior experience isn’t essential, a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service are paramount. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our spa, ensuring our guests feel valued and pampered from the moment they arrive until their departure. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all guests to the spa, offering refreshments and assistance.
  • Efficiently manage the spa appointment schedule, making bookings and adjustments as required.
  • Handle guest inquiries about spa services, treatments, and products with comprehensive knowledge and courtesy.
  • Process payments accurately and handle cash/card transactions securely.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the spa reception and waiting areas.
  • Assist with retail sales of spa products, providing recommendations based on guest needs.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with spa therapists and other staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to the Spa Manager.
  • Ensure guests complete necessary intake forms and provide relevant information.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve minor issues with a polite and helpful demeanor.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and friendly disposition.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, booking software experience a plus).
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to guest service.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Previous customer service experience in any sector (e.g., retail, F&B).
  • Familiarity with spa treatments, beauty products, or wellness concepts.
  • Knowledge of Swahili or other international languages.
