Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in both English and the target second language, adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of academic achievement and attendance.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and language-rich classroom environment that encourages active student participation, critical thinking, and celebrates cultural diversity.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to develop and implement comprehensive curriculum and innovative instructional strategies.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with parents/guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and academic progress, often utilizing bilingual communication skills to ensure clarity and engagement.
- Participate actively in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school-wide initiatives to enhance teaching practices and contribute to school improvement.
- Integrate technology effectively into daily instruction to enhance learning experiences, engage students, and support various learning modalities.
- Implement a variety of assessment tools to monitor student comprehension, track progress, and adjust teaching methods accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.
- Contribute to a safe, orderly, and supportive school environment for all students, upholding school policies and fostering a respectful atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English and a second language (e.g., Spanish, Vietnamese) in both oral and written communication, demonstrated through professional and academic experience.
- Valid California Teaching Credential with Bilingual Authorization (BCLAD or equivalent).
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, culturally responsive lesson plans that cater to diverse student populations.
- Strong classroom management skills with a proven ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

- Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
