Job Description
We are seeking a pioneering and skilled Blockchain Developer to join our evolving digital transformation team at Blanket Mine. This is a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge blockchain technology within the mining sector, an industry ripe for disruption and innovation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in exploring, designing, and implementing blockchain-based solutions to address various challenges and unlock new efficiencies in our operations. This could include developing secure, transparent systems for supply chain traceability of gold, managing asset lifecycle for heavy machinery, creating smart contracts for vendor agreements, or enhancing data integrity for environmental monitoring. You will work closely with our IT, operations, and finance teams to identify use cases, prototype solutions, and eventually deploy robust, scalable blockchain applications. We are looking for someone who is passionate about decentralized technologies, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is eager to drive real-world applications in a dynamic and challenging environment. Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain solutions tailored to mining industry needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT) to identify and prioritize blockchain use cases.
- Develop and deploy smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda).
- Design and implement robust APIs for integration with existing enterprise systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of blockchain applications to ensure functionality and security.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and distributed ledger technologies.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and adhere to best practices for software development.
- Provide technical guidance and support for deployed blockchain solutions.
- Educate internal stakeholders on blockchain capabilities and potential applications within the mining sector.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one blockchain development language (e.g., Solidity, Go, Java, Python, C++ for blockchain frameworks).
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and decentralized applications (dApps).
- Experience with smart contract development and auditing.
- Familiarity with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, etc.).
- Experience with distributed version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
