Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify transaction accuracy.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ledger accounts, and other accounting documents.
- Generate and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Singaporean accounting standards and relevant financial regulations.
- Manage petty cash and employee expense claims.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or professional certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Singaporean accounting standards (FRS) and taxation requirements.
- Experience with payroll processing and HR-related financial administration.
- Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting best practices.
