Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Prepare and submit statutory declarations and returns, including VAT and TDS, in compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage payroll inputs, ensuring accurate and timely processing for employees.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive financial records, both physical and digital.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to management as required.
- Identify and implement improvements to bookkeeping processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
- Excellent data entry and reconciliation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
