As a Bookkeeping Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your daily contributions will directly support the financial health and operational efficiency of our Bog Walk facilities, which are central to our agricultural operations. Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and verify financial transactions.
- Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with the preparation of audit materials and year-end closing procedures.
- Manage and organize financial documents, ensuring proper record-keeping and archiving.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding financial matters.
- Assist in payroll processing and expense report verification as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
