Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm, providing personalized book recommendations.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for all sales transactions.
- Maintain the bookstore's cleanliness, organization, and inviting atmosphere.
- Efficiently receive, unbox, label, and shelve new book shipments.
- Create engaging and aesthetically pleasing book displays and promotional setups.
- Handle customer inquiries, special orders, and returns with professionalism.
- Support the planning and execution of in-store events, readings, and community outreach programs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for books and reading across various genres.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with POS systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese (verbal and written).
