As a Bouncer, you will be the first and last point of contact for patrons, playing a crucial role in shaping their experience. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe and orderly environment, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and venue policies. This includes managing entry, verifying identification, conducting searches when necessary, and expertly handling any disturbances or conflicts that may arise. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control entry to the venue, including checking identification for age verification and guest lists.
- Conduct thorough searches where authorized and necessary, adhering to all legal guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter undesirable behaviour and ensure a safe and orderly environment for all patrons.
- Monitor crowd behaviour, identify potential conflicts, and de-escalate situations calmly and effectively.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, including disturbances, medical emergencies, or other security concerns.
- Liaise effectively with venue management, bar staff, and emergency services when required.
- Enforce venue policies regarding behaviour, intoxication, and adherence to licensing laws.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering assistance and information to patrons while maintaining security protocols.
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly for all significant events.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
- Proven experience in a security or bouncer role, preferably within a nightlife or event setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse individuals.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities, with a calm and measured approach under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills and situational awareness.
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and respond to physical demands if necessary.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current First Aid at Work certification.
- Previous experience in high-volume club environments or large-scale events.
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and regulations specific to Northern Ireland.
- Customer service training or experience in a customer-facing role.
