Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking highly skilled and professional Bouncers – Club & Event Entry Control to join our network of premier venues across Pontypridd and Cardiff. This is an unparalleled opportunity for dedicated security professionals to uphold safety, ensure an enjoyable atmosphere, and provide crucial front-line security services at some of South Wales’ most vibrant clubs, bars, and event spaces.

As a Bouncer, you are the first point of contact and the face of the venue, playing a pivotal role in maintaining order, preventing incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of events. Your primary responsibility will be to safeguard patrons, staff, and property, creating a welcoming yet secure environment. This role demands exceptional judgment, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to confidently enforce venue policies while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will be instrumental in managing entry, including rigorous ID verification, enforcing capacity limits, and respectfully declining entry to individuals who do not meet entry criteria or pose a risk. Proactive crowd management will be key, as you monitor behavior, identify potential issues before they escalate, and expertly de-escalate conflicts with tact and professionalism. Your vigilance will extend to regular patrols, ensuring all areas are safe and secure, and promptly responding to any security alerts or emergencies, collaborating closely with internal teams and external emergency services as needed.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, possess an active SIA Door Supervisor license, and have a proven track record in a dynamic security setting. Your ability to communicate effectively, resolve disputes peacefully, and adapt to varying situations will be crucial for success. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, checking IDs for age verification and guest lists.
  • Enforce venue policies, dress codes, and responsible alcohol consumption guidelines.
  • Manage crowd flow and prevent overcrowding in designated areas.
  • De-escalate conflicts and resolve disturbances calmly and professionally.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid if required, and coordinating with emergency services.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises, identifying and addressing potential security risks.
  • Assist patrons with inquiries and provide directions when necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with venue management, bar staff, and other security personnel.
  • Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid and current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Proven experience in a similar door supervisor or security role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Physical fitness and stamina for prolonged standing and active duties.
  • Knowledge of relevant licensing laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Experience with advanced security systems (CCTV, access control).
  • Previous experience in high-volume club or event environments.
  • Additional security-related qualifications (e.g., physical intervention training).
