Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly professional and vigilant Bouncer to join our club protection team in Nanyuki, Laikipia County. In this critical on-site role, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests and staff. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to identify and address potential security risks or disturbances.
- Verify identification and enforce entry requirements, including age restrictions and dress codes.
- Manage crowd control and ensure orderly movement of patrons within the venue.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including altercations, medical emergencies, and unruly behavior.
- De-escalate conflicts using verbal communication and non-physical intervention techniques when appropriate.
- Eject disruptive or intoxicated individuals in a safe and professional manner.
- Cooperate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of all security-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with all local laws, licensing regulations, and company policies.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter crime and maintain a sense of safety for patrons and staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a security or bouncer role, preferably within a nightlife or hospitality setting.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and perform duties requiring physical intervention if necessary.
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of relevant local laws and regulations concerning public safety and liquor licensing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Certification in self-defense or non-violent crisis intervention.
- Prior training in crowd management and emergency response protocols.
- Fluency in Swahili and English.
- A clean criminal record and background check.
