Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and engage with guests visiting the boutique, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that encourages exploration.
- Provide exceptional, personalized customer service, assisting guests with product selection, answering queries, and offering tailored recommendations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all boutique products, including their origin, craftsmanship, unique selling points, and cultural significance.
- Actively promote boutique merchandise, highlighting special offers, new arrivals, and storytelling behind each item to maximize sales opportunities.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system, and handle cash/card payments responsibly.
- Ensure the boutique is impeccably presented, clean, and organized at all times, including creative visual merchandising and diligent stock replenishment.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving new stock, conducting regular stock counts, and reporting discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate effectively with the resort management team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to overall guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest feedback, inquiries, and returns professionally and efficiently, always striving for a positive resolution.
- Adhere to all resort policies and procedures, including security protocols, cash handling guidelines, and health & safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within a boutique, hospitality, or luxury goods environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clientele.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Swahili is a significant advantage for engaging with local culture.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a customer-focused setting.
- A keen eye for detail, a strong sense of aesthetics, and a passion for creative visual merchandising.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and experience handling various payment methods.
- An enthusiastic, proactive, and genuinely customer-oriented attitude with a welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
