Job Description
Are you passionate about media, eager to learn the ropes of broadcasting, and ready to kickstart your career in a dynamic environment? Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Broadcast Assistant to join our growing team in St. Eleanors, Summerside. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to immerse themselves in the behind-the-scenes magic of television and radio production, gain practical experience, and contribute meaningfully from day one.
As a Broadcast Assistant, you will be an integral part of our production crew, providing essential support across various operational and technical aspects of live and pre-recorded broadcasts. You’ll work closely with producers, directors, on-air talent, and technical staff, learning directly from industry veterans. No two days will be exactly alike – one moment you might be preparing scripts and graphics for an evening news segment, the next you could be assisting with studio setup for a community talk show, or logging footage for an upcoming documentary. This role is designed to be a comprehensive introduction to the broadcast industry, offering a wide array of learning experiences that will build a strong foundation for your future career.
We are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a genuine curiosity about how content comes to life on screen and over the airwaves. While previous experience in broadcasting is not required, a demonstrable passion for media, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are crucial. You’ll be a key player in ensuring smooth operations, helping us deliver engaging and high-quality content to our loyal audience in Prince Edward Island and beyond. If you’re ready to learn, contribute, and grow with a forward-thinking media organization, we encourage you to apply and join the Career.zycto family!
