Key Responsibilities
- Host live and pre-recorded television and radio programmes, ensuring professional delivery and engaging content.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with guests, experts, and community members.
- Research and prepare compelling show topics, scripts, and segment outlines.
- Engage with listeners/viewers through calls, social media, and live interactions.
- Collaborate with producers, sound engineers, and production teams to ensure high-quality broadcasts.
- Maintain accurate timing and flow during live programming.
- Adhere to broadcasting standards, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Participate in promotional activities and public appearances as required.
- Develop and present original content ideas that align with station objectives.
- Provide clear and concise voice-overs and narration for various segments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Broadcaster in TV and/or Radio.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong journalistic integrity and research capabilities.
- Ability to think quickly and adapt in live broadcast situations.
- Engaging on-air personality and charisma.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with broadcast equipment and software (e.g., mixing desks, audio editing suites).
- Sound knowledge of current affairs, local events, and popular culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
