Gamma Construction Ltd. invites experienced Builders to join our dynamic team in Bel Air Rivière Sèche, Flacq District. As a Builder with Gamma Construction, you will be instrumental in the successful execution of both residential and commercial projects. Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of tasks, from initial site preparation and foundation work to framing, masonry, roofing, and intricate finishing touches. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and other skilled tradespeople, ensuring that all work adheres to blueprints, specifications, and the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute various construction tasks across residential and commercial sites, including foundations, framing, roofing, carpentry, masonry, and concrete work.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately to ensure precise project execution.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Perform site preparation tasks, including clearing, excavation, and material handling.
  • Monitor work to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with site supervisors, engineers, architects, and other tradesmen.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper storage and disposal of materials.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues or discrepancies in coordination with the project team.
  • Assist with the installation of windows, doors, and other structural components.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Builder in residential and/or commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in carpentry, masonry, concrete pouring and finishing, and general construction techniques.
  • Excellent physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal qualification or vocational training in Building and Construction.
  • Certification in specific trades (e.g., advanced carpentry, scaffolding, heavy equipment operation).
  • Experience with sustainable building practices or green construction materials.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, forklifts) with relevant certification.
