Based in the dynamic Filton area of Bristol, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction projects, from residential developments and commercial builds to essential infrastructure improvements. As a Builder – Site Construction & Labour, you will be integral to the successful execution of various building phases, from groundworks through to structural completion. Your daily tasks will involve a wide range of activities, including site preparation, excavation, laying foundations, erecting scaffolding, constructing walls using various materials (brick, block, timber frame), installing structural elements, and assisting with roofing and finishing touches. You will be expected to safely operate various hand and power tools, ensuring all work adheres to approved plans, building regulations, and strict quality control standards. Key Responsibilities
- Execute general construction tasks including site preparation, excavation, and foundation work.
- Construct and maintain walls using brick, block, and other building materials.
- Install structural components such as timber frames, steel beams, and concrete elements.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, roofing, and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
- Perform manual labour, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and other contractors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general building and site construction.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).

- Experience operating basic plant machinery (e.g., small diggers, dumpers) with relevant certifications.
- First Aid at Work certification.
