Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly dedicated, meticulous, and proactive Building Caretaker to oversee the comprehensive management and maintenance of one of our prestigious properties situated on the renowned Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island. This exceptional opportunity comes with the significant advantage of on-site accommodation, enabling immediate responsiveness and deep immersion in the property’s operational rhythm. As the Building Caretaker, you will be the vital heartbeat of our property, directly contributing to its impeccable appearance, functionality, and the overall satisfaction of its occupants.

Your primary mission will be to ensure a consistently safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. This isn’t merely a reactive role; we are looking for a forward-thinking individual who can anticipate needs, identify potential issues before they escalate, and implement preventative measures. Your daily responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, including but not limited to, conducting routine inspections of the building’s interior and exterior, performing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs, and ensuring all communal areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Beyond the physical upkeep, you will serve as a crucial point of contact for residents regarding maintenance concerns, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and effective communication. You will also be responsible for managing and supervising third-party contractors for specialized repairs or services, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, to standard, and within budget. Maintaining robust inventory of supplies and equipment, and providing regular reports to management on property conditions and maintenance activities, will also be key aspects of your role.
