Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified Building Inspectors with on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, checklists, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Take high-quality photographs of site conditions, identified defects, and construction progress for record-keeping.
  • Research and interpret building codes, regulations, and relevant Australian standards to support inspection activities.
  • Communicate findings effectively and professionally with inspectors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Schedule appointments, manage inspection calendars, and coordinate site visits efficiently.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence related to inspection processes.
  • Monitor construction sites for compliance with approved plans, specifications, and general safety protocols.
  • Support the team in resolving technical queries and issues by gathering necessary information and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of inspection activities, ensuring all information is current and accessible.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional observation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Current First Aid certification.
