Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect fares and issue tickets using electronic ticketing machines, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries, journey planning, and general information.
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort by actively monitoring the bus environment and assisting with boarding/alighting.
- Assist passengers with disabilities, the elderly, and those with young children, providing a supportive and inclusive travel experience.
- Manage cash and card payments responsibly, reconciling daily takings accurately.
- Communicate effectively with bus drivers and control centres regarding operational issues, delays, or emergencies.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety regulations, and public transport guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment on the bus, promoting a positive passenger experience.
- Handle minor complaints and difficult situations professionally, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere on board, encouraging repeat patronage.
