Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger buses on designated routes within Offenbach am Main, adhering to published schedules and timetables.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries, managing fare collection (where applicable), and ensuring a comfortable ride.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, and promptly reporting any mechanical issues or defects.
- Maintain accurate records, including mileage, fuel consumption, passenger counts, and incident reports, ensuring all documentation is complete and timely.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations, prioritizing the well-being of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users at all times.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding route status, potential delays, or emergency situations.
- Manage passenger behavior and address any disruptive situations professionally and according to established company protocol to ensure a pleasant environment for all.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including wheelchair accessibility, ensuring full compliance with accessibility standards and providing necessary support.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus interior throughout shifts, contributing to a positive passenger experience.
- Stay updated on route changes, special events, potential detours, and local traffic conditions to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid German Class D (Bus) driving license.
- Valid Professional Driver Qualification Card (Schlüsselzahl 95 / Code 95).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bus driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
- Excellent knowledge of Offenbach am Main road networks, local routes, and traffic regulations.
- Strong commitment to passenger safety and comfort, with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible work ethic, capable of independent operation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per operational needs.
- Basic German language proficiency (A2/B1 level minimum) for effective communication with passengers and colleagues.
